KERSTIN ABRAM-NILSSON (Swedish / 1931-1998)

Kerstin Abram-Nilsson was a prominent Swedish wood engraver. She studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm from 1953-1958. Kerstin Abram-Nilsson travelled and exhibited widely in Europe, Africa, Mexico, and the USA. She taught at the School of Applied Art in Stockholm. Our linocuts by Kerstin Abram-Nilsson are from the series We and Them, "showing human beings striving at higher aims but being impeded and obstructed".
