REINHOLD MAX EICHLER (German / 1872-1947)

Reinhold Max Eichler was born in Mutzschen in 1872. He studied at the Kunstakademie Dresden from 1889-1893, and continued his studies at the Akademie der bildende Künste in Munich. Reinhold Max Eichler was a significant figure in German Art Nouveau, the Jugendstil, and a regular contributor to the journal that gave the movement its name, Jugend. He died in Munich in 1947.
