ALBERT ÉMILE ARTIGUE (French / 1850-1927)

The painter and lithographer Albert Émile Artigue is sometimes listed as Émile-Albert Artigue. Artigue was born in Buenos Aires, to French parents. He was a pupil of Cabanel and Douard. Artigue exhibited regularly with the Salon de Paris and the Salon des Artistes Français. As an elderly man , Albert Artigue encouraged the young Jules Cavaillès.
