Original lithograph, signed and dated in the stone. Printed by Mourlot Frères on vélin d'Arches. From one of 20 separate suites on Arches of the lithographs for an edition of Bel-Ami by Guy de Maupassant, which was published in an edition of 1000 copies; there were also 100 suites on Lafuma. The 20 copies on Arches were numbered in roman numerals; ours is no, VIII, especially printed for Monsieur le Comte de Brion. Sold with a copy of the justification page. Condition: Fine.
