Original copper engraving by Albert Marquet printed by Padovani on vélin d'Arches. From no. 70 of 225 copies of Images d'une ville arabe, with text by Madame Marquet under the pen-name Marcelle Marty. There were additionally 20 signed suites of Albert Marquet's engravings on Japon nacré. The book was issued as unbound leaves, and all the engravings are incorporated in the text, so that text will need to be framed out. The Marquets spent the war years in Algeria, and wintered in North Africa most years. Condition: Fine.
