Blue lullaby. An original colour etching with aquatint by Georges Villa, signed in the plate, printed on a hand press by Eugène Delâtre on vélin royal de Vidalon, specially made by Canson & Montgolfier. This is one of 60 etchings (of which 20 were in colour) made by Georges Villa for the first volume of Montmartre a chanté, a collection of songs and poems of Montmartre published by Les Bibliophiles du Cornet in an edition of 175 copies. This copy was no. 85, specially printed for Jean-Henri Malinvaud. Montmartre a chanté was published as loose sheets rather than as bound books. There was also 20 suites of the etchings in black on Hollande van Gelder. Condition: Fine.
